I always had to keep my new phone plugged in at my desk so I wouldn't run out of battery. With this battery, it's still quite low by the end of the day (from 8 am-9pm), but it's not dead, so that's a good thing. I don't play a lot of games and such, mostly texting and email, and an occasional phone call. If I were a heavy phone user, this battery still wouldn't last all day. Battery technology needs to evolve with our phone technology! :-)

If you have this phone, then you know how bad the battery life sucks. Lets preface my review with how my phone is set-up.

No wifi, no 4g, screen 100%, auto sync 3 e-mail accounts and facebook, lots of text messages, some internet(not too much), fair amount of voice calls, and I take a few pictures every day(some flash, some not). On a good day, I used to need to charge my phone every 3 or 4 hours, bad day = 1 or 2 hours.

Without changing any of my settings or habits, first day I had charged overnight and it went 15 (yes, I said fifteen) hours and only went down to 23%(if you don't already know, you can check battery level under settings:about phone:status:battery level). Today, overnight charge again, I am at a little over 7 (seven) hours and still at 46%.

I love it!

BTW, the case fits perfect(I really do mean PERFECT). I also like the look and feel of the matte black, kind of grippy surface. The notch above the battery bulge is perfect place for my finger while making calls. It does add some weight, but I like it. The whole thing makes it feel better in my hand, no matter how I am holding it. (I am male with average sized hands)

I have only had this battery and cover for a few days now. It is working great, so far. I cannot comment on the long term abilities of this battery yet.

I would recommend this for certain!

So here's how I use the phone. I browse the web for maybe 90 minutes daily, I send a dozen texts a day, exchange voice notes and send messages on google talk and whatsapp. I don't use any of those battery saving apps / task killers because I find it much simpler and duty free to just switch the phone off and then power it back up. I take maybe ten pictures a day which is why I got this phone. Imagine using the stock battery, you will minimize your usage. My reason for getting this was basically so I can use the phone the way I want to. I don't have to worry too much about getting a phone call. Here's what you should know about this phone, the display uses the most battery, almost 50-60% and then others. With this battery now I can keep Pandora running for 2 hours without feeling the need to cry and winge. I don't have to use the annoying "Automatic brightness" and can keep the brightness amped. I don't have to ask my friend to call me in ten minutes so I can charge my battery up. I don't have to think sixteen times before finding the directions when I'm on the road walking.

I had an extended battery with my previous blackberry and that's when I decided I will always have one no matter what. On a full charge, this battery will last your phone atleast 1 day and 5 hours. That is a lot. If you hardly use your phone, this will last for maybe close to two days.

Drawbacks - slippery back, slightly bulky, makes your pretty sleek phone look just a little robotic but big bang theorists like me don't disapprove of this. I dont have to ever put my phone on airplane mode now when I'm in public transport away from getting a signal. Also I dropped this twice in the past day. Both times it was my clumsiness rather than a real fault of the extended battery.

Strongly recommended. Now all you have to do is learn how to use the phone a little better and you're all set with the Seidio battery. Yes, it's expensive but imagine having 16% of your battery remaining on a Saturday Night and going out for the night and coming back home with 5% still remaining and a half dozen pictures (flash used) ... Not bad, right?
